Pop2Talk
2D language learning game 2019-2020, Unity Pop2Talk is a joint project with University of Helsinki and Aalto University. It's a mobile game focused on English language pronunciation using speech technology. The game is aimed to children 5-8 years old. I worked as a solo graphic designer in the team, drawing all the art assets for the game, including marketing art. I also designed the game's website. Visit www.pop2talk.com for more info |
Story of a Mother
2D visual novel 2019, TyranoBuilder Story of a Mother was a Ludum Dare #44 game jam entry (theme: Life is Currency). I worked on it solo. Its story is loosely based on a fairy tale with the same name. The game had several endings. I programmed the game and made the character sprite art. Wah-Hoo Goes Hatoful
2D visual novel 2019, TyranoBuilder Wah-Hoo Goes Hatoful is a parody visual novel I made with friends on a weekend game jam. It's heavily inspired by Hatoful Boyfriend. The game started out as a pidgeon dating sim but turned into a serial killer murder mystery. The game's purpose was to experiment with TyranoBuilder and test workflow when participating in a game jam. I took charge of programming and some of the artwork. Since most of the art assets are copyrighted, I won't share the game here. |
Mistquest
2D visual novel 2018-, TyranoBuilder Mistquest is a hobby visual novel project I started in 2018 with a friend, and I've been working on it on-off since then. It's based on Elfquest fan characters, using an online text rpg as a base for the plot. I structured the plot using Twine and transferred it to TyranoBuilder for editing and branching the storylines. The artwork is based on existing drawings from the players and new art from me and Berit. I focus mostly on programming in this project. |
Eldritch Cuisine
3D horror & cooking game 2018, Unity 3D I made Eldritch Cuisine as a team effort with Stupid Stupid Games dev team during Ludum Dare #41 game jam. I built some of the game environment and designed the monsters. The game ranked 13th for the mood and 24th for the audio, and it got a lot of positive feedback from the other jammers. |

NoReload Heroes
3D co-op shooter 2017-2018, Unity 3D NoReload Heroes is a co-op shooter game developed by Stupid Stupid Games. You play with your friends to defeat an evil artificial intelligence named Mephisto and his robot minions. It's a roguelite game, where the environments are procedurally generated. I worked as a 3D-modeler, environment artist and level designer during the production. I collaborated with other artists to make the low-poly environment assets, which I then used in Unity to make the game environments. In this project I was mostly in charge for the level design, which was a new role for me. I used DunGen dungeon generator to make the levels in Unity. |
Carcinogenocide

Johnny Graves - The Unchosen One
3D shooter game 2015-2017, Unity 3D Johnny Graves—The Unchosen One is a shooter pc-game set in an urban fantasy environment by Stupid Stupid Games. It was published on Steam as an Early Access game on June 15th, 2016, and launched on 6th April, 2017. I started working on the game as the lead artist, curating other artists' work. I've also worked on the game's concept art and made 2D-cutscenes for it in After Effects. Later in the project I moved on to environment art and level design. |
Agents of Armageddon: Choice
2D linear visual novel 2015-2016, TyranoBuilder Choice is a linear visual novel, which was published by Stupid Stupid Games. It's a digital interactive story set in the no-man's-land between Heaven and Hell. I worked as a programmer and the project leader. The game took seven months to make. |
Growing (a Lump)

Tuija Niskalaukaus & Full Frontal Nudity
2D visual novel 2015, TyranoBuilder I spent a weekend with Elisa Raittila and made this short, halloween themed visual novel game. It tells how a bunny named Tuija tries to find a good halloween costume for herself. I did the programming with TyranoBuilder, while Elisa did the art with Photoshop. Notice! 2D puzzle text adventure 2015, TyranoBuilder This was a Ludum Dare #32 game jam entry I made with a small team. I worked as a programmer and team leader, so I could try to work outside my comfort zone. The player is a visitor in an asylum, when things go wrong. Case: Razor
2D Linear visual novel 2013, Ren'Py Visual Novel Engine Case: Razor is the first "game" I ever made. It's a film noir themed short story I made in Ren'Py as a graduation work for Lybecker Institute of Crafts and Design. I used Autodesk 3Ds Max to model the environments and then paint over their screenshots in Photoshop. |
